Smith was a full time vibration analyst with Masterfoods
Australia NZ. The Vibration Analysis Program Robert developed
with Masterfoods Australia NZ saved an average of $1.2
Million per annum over 4 years based on profit.
Robert
also developed a global internet condition monitoring
support group
within the Mars Corporation involving
110 Predictive Maintenance Associates from 41 business
units
in 23 different countries. Robert’s efforts in
developing this group were recognised and made the
Masterfoods Australian final in Make The Difference
Awards. Robert
was also named the first contact person in the Asia
Pacific Region for Vibration Analysis support to Mars
business
units.
Robert has worked in the food, mining, oil refining,
power and
Timber industries as a maintenance tradesman, maintenance
supervisor, shift engineer, mechanical inspector (Rotating
Equipment NZ Refinining Co managed by Royal Dutch Shell)
and Vibration Analyst.
